Drawing videos the internet watched

I came up with the topics and, together with a team of artists, planned the content: what to draw in new lessons and in viral videos for TikTok and Reels. The videos show people drawing with AR, tied to what the audience was already watching: Stranger Things, Squid Game, the Joker.

NFT launch

888 Martians, drawn by the community

Artists drew about 2,500 Martians in the app during a contest with a $35,000 prize pool. The top 888 became Sketchar’s first in-app NFT collection, with a pre-sale drop on March 30, 2022. I was part of the team behind the launch and handled PR and social media.

2021: Sketchar moves into Web3

As part of the team, I supported the launch of the Martians888 pixel-art contest ($35,000 prize pool) and the NFT marketplace, and the in-app path that let creators earn free NFTs. My part was PR and social media.

Email

Hey, Creators! I am Maria.

I wrote Sketchar’s newsletters: announcements, new features and updates, plus a monthly digest. The example below is a letter I wrote to creators in my own voice.

Blog

The company blog

The Sketchar blog was a duo: a dedicated author wrote, and I chose the topics, from creator stories and technology to company news and NFT explainers.

In the app

Courses and lessons

The Learn tab: courses by subject and level, with the number of lessons on each card. I worked hand in hand with the artists and wrote the course and lesson descriptions.

Learn: courses such as Dinosaurs, Body Parts, Children, Anime Characters, Birds and Architecture.

200 years of Dostoevsky

I conceived the campaign and led the creation of step-by-step drawing lessons. App Store RU featured it, and the portrait lesson is still in the app.

Founder PR

The founder on the main stage

I ran PR for founder and CEO Andrey Drobitko and secured his talks at international art and design conferences. At OFFF Moscow 2021, a festival of design and digital art that started in Barcelona, he spoke on the main stage on the same program as Stefan Sagmeister. Visitors drew a shared charity canvas with the Sketchar app on HoloLens and smartphones.
